How Claude Verifies Answers
We believe spiritual technology must never make unverified claims or generate fear-based predictions. Here is the exact technical pipeline we use to verify every AI Pandit answer against our classical Sanskrit corpus.
From Source Corpus to Verified Citation
Corpus Retrieval
When you submit a query, our backend searches our indexed local corpus—including the 2,046 sections of the Mahabharata, the 18 Maha Puranas, and classical stotras. It identifies the top relevant passages, assigning each a verifiable passage ID (e.g. SHLOKA-GAYATRI, PUR-VISHNU-KEY-SHLOKA, MHB-VOL1-SEC1).
Claude Drafts the Answer (Call 1)
Claude is provided with only those retrieved passages and instructed to draft an answer strictly supported by the text. It must return structured JSON containing both the narrative and the exact passages cited. If the retrieved passages do not answer the question, Claude is explicitly commanded to state: "I could not find a source for this."
Claude Verifier Pass (Call 2)
A second, separate Claude prompt acts as an auditor. It receives the draft answer, claimed citations, and original source passages. Its sole job is to categorize every claim into verified or unsupported. Any reasoning that leaps beyond the passages is flagged for removal.
Server-Side Exact Substring Check
Before any response reaches your browser, our Node.js server executes an exact programmatic check: every quoted verse or phrase must appear as an exact substring of the passage retrieved from disk. If a citation fails this test, it is stripped. Only when this check passes does the user interface display the Verified against sources badge.
Honest Boundaries & What AI Cannot Do
While our verification pipeline significantly reduces false claims, language models can still make errors or misinterpret subtle contextual nuances.
